Ok so I like these, they're fun. Fun to do and prob more importantly fun for the client. This was part of a series of short character animations commissioned by CDK to introduce the their in-house training portal MyCareer.
4Reel developed the characters and with the client produced a script. I pull it all together, did the animation and the audio track. Its dull I know but a part of the satisfaction with these projects is that I developed a basic rigging system in AE using expressions that enabled me to swap out character elements and the colour palette while maintaining any key framed animation. There are those how might say Adobe Character Animator can do that too but I've played around with that plenty and i don't think its a really robust and reliable solution when budgets and deadlines are tight... as yet. Today, if I was starting this project again I would probably use "Joysticks 'n sliders".
