An opener for the 2017 CDK Global Partners Conference. The treatment was a collaboration between CDK and production company 4Reel. Time for some honesty here, I'm not that happy with this one. I like the final city and some of the camera movements and atmosphere but I was never sure it really hit home. I felt the text was some what unreadable during the city part and was always a little confused by the opening section where the car is moving through the out skirts.
I know its my job to get that right but I'm not perfect and am wiling to look back and own up where things didn't quite work. Part of the problem is doing a project fully in 3D with all of the extra steps and difficulty of fine tuning. Helping clients understand the difficulties and time consuming nature of 3d can be a little hard at times. Many clients really aren't necessarily that visually aware, thats ok thats not their job. In many cases they sort of want to see what they are getting before they pull the trigger or at times want a lot of input ,even at very late stages which is manageable in After Effects but in 3D... less so.
